Dear readers,
Welcome to the Year of the Tiger! To bring our best Chinese New Year wishes to you, the bluebee® girl donned a traditional costume and tiger hat! On behalf of the entire Siveco China team, we wish you and yours a Happy New Year! May the roaring tiger bring you and yours health, happiness and prosperity!
The past year, that of the Ox, was a year of struggle and uncertainty. Our warm thoughts are with those who are personally impacted, living in locked down cities, facing health issues or separated from their family. This challenging period is testing the resilience of people and companies. Many of our clients have undergone mergers, acquisitions, financial losses, project delays… For us, the competitive landscape has changed, less robust players have disappeared, in particular those promoting impossibly cheap solutions and the vendors of "dreamware".
Less competition, stronger regulations, have translated into strong business for Siveco China. We experienced profitable growth both in China and on the Belt & Road, despite difficulties and incredibly strong travel restrictions. To support this growth, we have streamlined our organization, simplifying the different departments around customer satisfaction and hired more people. We are still hiring, feel free to recommend candidates!
Recent weeks were very intense. We see increasing demand from manufacturers that feel the impact on new regulations and decide it was time to optimize their maintenance practices. We have delivered projects in Anyang, Dongying, Hengshui, Shanghai, Suzhou, Maanshan, Tianjin, Wuhan and Xiangyang.
Hebei CASDA Biomaterials is a good example, driving their O&M transformation using our Smart solutions and ISO 55000 approach. Meanwhile, our traditional infrastructure business continues to develop, with clients going "live" last month in waste-to-energy, water and gas supply.
As many of you have seen, Siveco China has also remained active in marketing, advocating our approach driven by methodology rather than just IT. In December we had a strong presence at the 6th China Equipment Management Conference in Jinan. We also took part in smaller conferences in Jiangsu province. We launched new initiatives with Shanghai University, with a lecture on industrial trends and a new BIM for Maintenance project with students.
This was also a traditional period of celebration: we had our Christmas buffet,
enjoyed the Feast of the Epiphany and at the end of January will hold our costumed party cum annual dinner! I repeated to my teams that more parties are needed in periods of crisis, internally and with our customers! I look forward to that! Please follow our media channel to see the latest photos! You can also read our
latest news as usual.
At last, thanks to all for your support and trust. Again, our best wishes to you and your families, may you have a Happy, Healthy and Safe Year of the Tiger!
