During the first half of 2023, the Siveco China Customer Service team has secured several multi-year support contracts with clients in China and Southeast Asia. Examples of large customers adopting this approach include environmental group CEP and Resonac Graphite, the world’s largest supplier of ultra-high-powered graphite electrodes.
CEP is a professional environmental protection enterprise group controlled by CITIC Industrial Fund, focusing on the investment and operation of the entire industry chain of hazardous waste treatment. CEP has 12 subsidiaries, 10 hazardous waste treatment centers, business qualifications covering 43 of the 46 categories in the national hazardous waste directory. The permitted capacity of hazardous waste treatment reaches 1.05 million tons per year, which is in the forefront of the industry in China. CEP has signed a 3 years support contract.
Resonac Graphite has been making high-quality electrodes for use in the steel industry worldwide for over 100 years, playing an integral role in the world’s largest recycling process: the recycling of steel in electric arc furnaces. It is part of global chemical group Resonac Holdings Corporation, headquartered in Japan. Asian plants are located in Japan, Malaysia and China. Resonac has signed a 5 years support contract.
More and more companies are taking the opportunity of the economic rebound after the long pandemic to invest in improvement actions. The main advantage of multi-year support contracts is to eliminate yearly renewal procurement processes that too often get in the way of industrial improvement. This model is suitable for companies with long-term improvement as their priority.
