Siveco China was selected to deliver its Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Coswin 8i for the 7 MW Rouna 1 hydropower station in Papua New Guinea. The power plant, owned and operated by the national power company PNG Power Limited, is currently undergoing a major upgrade to increase electricity supply to customers in Port Moresby, the nation's capital. The project is supported by the Asia Development Bank (ADB), which has identified necessary improvements in Maintenance and Asset Management in order to ensure the reliability of power supply. Siveco acts as subcontractor to the plant builder Dongfang Electric International Corporation (DEC) for the CMMS.
Siveco China has developed a specific expertise working alongside EPC companies during the construction phase of infrastructure projects all over the world, ensuring smooth transfer of technical documentation from construction to operation, supporting plant commissioning and start-up with an accurate technical database and enforcing good maintenance practice from day one.
