Siveco customers to share experience on “ROI from Maintenance: a GM’s Perspective” (Shanghai, March 18)

The seminar on "ROI from maintenance: a GM's Perspective" will be held on March 18 in Shanghai, targeting senior management (GM, plant managers etc.) in the manufacturing industry. The event will showcase the experience of two major Siveco customers: International Paper (packaging industry) and Sichuan Lutianhua (fertilizers), with shorter case studies in other industries. This seminar is jointly organized by 1MFG.COM a leading information platform for manufacturing excellence and Siveco China, the country's largest maintenance consultancy.

The speaker will share experience running major industrial improvement projects across 15 packaging plants in Asia, with a focus on preventive maintenance. Key topics include:

The speaker will provide original insights from his 12-year experience running maintenance improvement projects in China, based on case studies from various industries.

• Examples of application both to new plants and existing facilities of various sizes
• How to obtain measurable ROI
• How to ensure sustainable results

Mobile solutions, a catalyst for maintenance improvement at leading chemical group (project team, Sichuan Lutianhua and Siveco China)
 
The team will present more in-depth technical experience from Sichuan Lutianhua, a producer of fertilizers, touching on the following:
 
• The importance of maintenance organization to ensure availability, reliability and safety in the chemical industry
• Inspections and measurements as a key maintenance strategy
• How to better utilize the know-how accumulated by technicians for improvement purposes
• How can mobile inspections solutions add value to under-utilized maintenance systems ("EAM")

 
This project has been nominated for the 2010 Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions Industrial Applications Grand Prix.

Charlie Liu

 

Charlie Liu is Manager of Training & Continuous improvement, Industrial Packaging Asia, for International Paper, a global leader in the paper and packaging industry. International Paper was Ranked #1 in the industry by FORTUNE Magazine's 2010 Most Admired Companies. The Industrial Packaging division operates a large production and supply network in Asia, comprising 28 plants in China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Charlies has 12 years experience in the packaging industry: prior to the acquisition of SCA Packaging Asia by International Paper in April 2010, he was successively QC Manager, HR Manager, Technical Manager, General Manager of a manufacturing plant and later Regional General Manager responsible for all SCA Packaging factories in East China. His earlier experience includes jobs in the ceramic tile and IT industries.

 

Bruno Lhopiteau

 

Bruno Lhopiteau is the founder of Siveco China, the country's largest maintenance consultancy, assisting industrial clients to manage maintenance "with Chinese characteristics" since 2004. A well-known figure of the Chinese maintenance market, has been active in China since 1997. Prior to Siveco, Bruno ran the utility division of a major international software vendor in Asia Pacific, taking part in some of China's largest infrastructure projects, most notably in the nuclear and hydro power industries. Bruno started his career as a preventive maintenance engineer at SKF in Sweden. In addition to his responsibilities in Siveco, Bruno has held board membership positions in several hi-tech and service companies operating in the Chinese maintenance market (condition monitoring, plant engineering software, construction project management services).
