Coswin 7i.5.0

Siveco Group announced that Coswin version 7i.5.0 will be available as a pre-release to selected clients and partners in April 2010, before official release to all customers during the summer. The 7i.5.0 version represents a significant stage in the development of the original software and constitutes the foundations of important new functionalities currently under development. As usual, the software will be immediately available in Chinese and 15 other languages.

According to Laurent Cretot, Siveco Group's Product Manager: "For 23 years, Siveco Group has been working on developing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) that more intuitive, more innovative and above all more efficient for daily usage. Coswin 7i.5.0 adheres to this policy, with fewer constraints, more flexibility and an even more intuitive approach, combined with direct information to the user."

On the functional side, the new version reflects major ongoing projects for the French Armed Forces (army, navy, air force) and more generally in the defense sector (naval shipyards). Some of the key functionality offered by Coswin 7i.5.0 include:

Maintenance

- A more comprehensive management of assets' operational status and condition.
- Full support for contract validity checks on maintenance transactions.
- New visual indicators in the equipment structure module.
- Facilited administration of new build projects and annual overhauls.
- Complete management of versioning of jobs and configuration of maintenance strategies: definition of reference repositories, inheritance of values and more.

Stock and procurement

- Management of lump sum contracts for items.
- New functionality for treating purchase orders in bulk.
- Improved method to manage invoicing and reconciliation

Miscellaneous

- New methods available for filtering data.
- Further automation of system administration, reducing the amount of human input required.

These improvements, driven by defense projects with highly complex maintenance requirements, will also benefit Siveco customers in other industries by providing them with an even more mature, stable and scalable product.
