Siveco, GREC and Zhejiang University open Joint MMS Development Center for Urban Transportation

Siveco China is proud to announce the setup of a Joint MMS (Maintenance Management System) Development Center for Urban Transportation with industrial partner GREC (Golden Bridge Rail Equipment Co. Ltd.) and academic partner Zhejiang University.

 
The Joint MMS Development Center has already been operating since January 2009 in Hangzhou, China, with a joint team focusing on developing solutions for the Chinese urban transportation market, based on Siveco's leading technology and international know-how. As part of the joint endeavor, GREC is responsible for the daily operation of the center, Siveco China brings expertise in large-scale MMS design and implementation, while Zhejiang University contributes local expertise and engineering resources. One of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China, Zhejiang University boasts comprehensive experience in the consulting, design and management of urban transportation projects with a group of dedicated technicians and experts. Zhejiang University has been working with Siveco China since 2006.

 
This unique partnership brings significant competitive advantage in future Chinese metro MMS projects, by combining strong local knowledge of the urban transportation industry, the ability to mobilize expert teams both locally and internationally, with world-class technology already employed in metro projects all over the world. In addition, the partnership is expected to benefit from and enhance Siveco's existing global partnerships with train manufacturers, SCADA suppliers and specialized consulting firms. Already a joint ISCS-MMS demo platform has been setup and has been demonstrated to metro operators all over the country.
