The new Annaba power plant in Algeria, operated by national power company Sonelgaz SPE, went live with Siveco's CMMS Coswin. The 2x40MW gas turbine power plant was built by GE and is located in the Annaba harbor, where an existing power plant has been using the system since 2001. Over 30 Sonelgaz sites have already installed Coswin, which has become the standard CMMS for all future power projects in Algeria.
To meet the increasing demand for electricity, the Algerian government has launched a massive investment program: several plants are currently under construction and will start operations in the coming years. Since all recent EPC contracts (an additional 8,400MW of capacity to be connected to the grid between 2015 and 2017) have been awarded to Chinese or Korean construction companies, Siveco China has dedicated a team to assist Asian EPCs and their subcontractors with system design, data collection, system configuration all the way to FAT, and then onsite delivery working together with our local partner in Algeria.
Siveco China, thanks to its experience in the booming Chinese infrastructure market, has extensive knowhow of CMMS implementation during the construction of the plant, more recently with gas turbine power plants in Malaysia and Indonesia.
